My letter to KTLA RE: Soul Train!

Dear friends at KTLA,

I am unfortunately writing tonight with a very somber heart. As I write this, I am sitting with a full tub of freshly popped popcorn, a table full of delicious snacks and treats purchased from the local "711" convenience store, and a 6-pack of Hawaiian Punch. Now right now you might be asking yourself, "self, why is this important? Why the erroneous details?" Well guess what pally, this elaborate preparation was made for the weekly tradition that is BEST OF SOUL TRAIN. But to my hideous surprise, I realized that tonight's most anticipated episode (featuring Peaches & Herb and Captain Sky!) is pre-empted due to a replay of another brutal Los Angeles Clippers loss. With the advent of pure technological wizardry such as "Tivo" and DVR's, I don't really see the need for a "Clippers replay". In other words, you snooze you lose Clips fans. In conclusion, I hope this does not happen again and we can all enjoy the subtle creepiness of Don Cornelius making another musical guest uncomfortable, as well as the always entertaining and magical "Soul Train line".
